Not too many people would have heard of the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug but apparently it's a threat to our ecology.
The Department of Agriculture and Water Resources has now published its formal Import Industry Advice Notice 76-2017 - Brown Marmorated Stink Bug Season 2017/18. This notice is of interest to importers associated with the importation of boats, from 1 September 2017 to 30 April 2018 inclusive. You have been warned.

Following the excellent feedback regarding orders taken at the recent Sydney International Boat Show, Australian boat builder Steber International, based in Taree on the NSW Mid North Coast, is currently going through a boom period with export orders this financial year alone expected to top $4m. The four acre factory complex was the subject of a ministerial visit on Monday, August 21 with NSW Minister for Roads, Maritime and Freight, the Hon. Melinda Pavey

The IC37 was developed to carry the Rolex New York Yacht Club Invitational Cup, the world's premiere Corinthian competition, into its second decade, but interest in the yacht has spread well beyond the current and former Invitational Cup participants. Also in Queensland the Brisbane Boat Show opens its doors today from 10am until 8pm and tomorrow and on Sunday between 10am and 6pm at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre in South Bank.
