NMMA's latest Monthly Recreational Boating Industry Data Summary, featuring data through April 2026, shows the recreational boating market continues to navigate elevated interest rates and cautious consumer sentiment.
The report analyses a rolling 12-month period, providing members with a broader view of long-term market trends. New powerboat retail unit sales were down 7.1% to 214,292 (May 2025-April 2026). Despite softer overall demand, unit sales of new freshwater fishing boats posted a slight 0.4% increase in retail sales year-on-year.
