Dear Recipient Name

More positive news from the industry. A record number of exhibitor applications for the 2024 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) will see the event sold out early in the New Year. While interest was expected to be high following this year's record-breaking show, Mulpha Events General Manager Johan Hasser said organisers have been overwhelmed by the response.

"More than 80% of the show space for our 2024 event (May 23 to 26) is already secured," he said. "Industry sentiment confirms SCIBS is a strong sales and marketing platform with many brands expanding and investing significantly more in their boat show display." He said Mulpha was thrilled to welcome existing and new exhibitors to the iconic Sanctuary Cove location for the 35th annual SCIBS event.

"There will be no better opportunity for industry members to put their brands in front of an enthusiastic audience and for visitors to inspect and compare Australia's largest collection of the latest and best boats and marine products in one location."

The Boating Industry Association of Victoria (BIAV) wrapped up its 2024-member Roadshow last week. Well over 50% of all BIAV members have taken part and it's been, once again, a very valuable exercise. Many potential new members were also welcomed during the sessions. Thanks go to everyone that either hosted a visit, or attended.

Meanwhile, the BIA in partnership with the ICOMIA and supported by the Queensland Government launched the Boating Industry Sustainability & Decarbonisation Briefings this week. The briefings are designed to share the findings of the Pathways to Propulsion Decarbonisation for the Recreational Marine Industry Report and bring the Queensland maritime industry together to discuss the critical topics of sustainability and decarbonisation in boating.

Briefings have taken place in Coomera and Brisbane so far, with the Mackay session and Cairns sessions following.
