BIAV wrapped up its 2024 member Roadshow last week. This followed an intensive state and city wide tour of individual and group visits, as well as a zoom meeting to finish up.

Well over 50% of all BIAV members have taken part and its been, once again, a very valuable exercise. Many potential new members were also welcomed during the sessions. Our thanks go to everyone that either hosted a visit, or attended.

The 'takeouts' from the sessions, where all attendees also completed a short questionnaire, will help form the BIAV objectives for 2024 and beyond. One very clear priority is for there to be an emphasis on Boating Careers and the industry working together to address skills and resourcing issues. Continued advocacy for boaters, as well as for industry remains a priority area, as does the delivery of another successful Melbourne Boat Show. Attendees indicated an appetite for further topic specific information sessions (mainly on-line), for further education, and to continue hearing from BIAV via this fortnightly publication, Enews!
