Superyachts Queensland Committee appoints marketing and industry experts

Superyachts Queensland have appointed a team of experienced marketing and industry professionals to support the Government's Queensland Superyacht Strategy.
The Queensland Superyacht Strategy was launched in May by Minister for State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning, Cameron Dick. The five-year plan aims to increase the number of superyachts coming to Queensland to create business and job opportunities throughout the state.
The Superyachts Queensland Marketing Committee will bring key stakeholders together in support of the Queensland Superyacht Strategy. The committee will be chaired by Kate Purdie, GM of Abell Point Marina, who brings twenty years of international marketing and communications experience to the group. The committee will be comprised of representatives from across Queensland and will include Rebecca Gay from Gold Coast City Marina, Carrie Carter from Super Yacht Group Great Barrier Reef and industry consultant Clare Wray.
Superyachts Queensland Chairman, Cameron Bray, commented, "The introduction of the Queensland Superyacht Strategy was a pivotal point for the superyacht industry and we are keen to maximise this opportunity. The marketing committee will be working with industry leaders to conduct further research into the superyacht sector to ensure our marketing dollars are maximised."
Committee Chair, Kate Purdie, added, "The government is positioning Queensland as a major superyacht hub by 2023. One of the keys to achieving this vision is state-wide collaboration on a cohesive marketing strategy. I am pleased to be leading this initiative along with the industry experts on the committee."
