Queensland's most comprehensive recreational marine show opens from the 24th to the 26th of August at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre South Bank, and is attracting the world's most recognised and respected boating manufacturers, suppliers and retailers. Whether you love the inland waterways of Queensland or prefer the open waters off the coast, exhibitors at the Brisbane Boat Show promise everything for the boating enthusiast.

One of the most unique vessels at the show this year is the amphibious Sealegs land and water craft. Not needing a marina or established boat ramp, Sealegs can literally drive directly into the water from the beach or shore using three hydraulically powered wheels fitted to the hull, which have no drag once fully retracted. "This year we are delighted to present Sealegs very own 8.5m Alloy Cabin which will make its first Brisbane appearance at this year's Boat Show. We have already presold to customers in Australia off the drawing board and this model is going to be a real gamechanger for the country," Sealegs Australian Sales Manager Michael Rigby said. "Sealegs craft can be found operating around Australia – both with recreational users and professional institutions such as Queensland Parks and Wildlife and Airport Services Australia."

A show favourite, Tacklebusters return to the Brisbane Boat Show with superb deals on all their rod, reel and tackle gear. Rows and rows of fishing equipment, accessories and gadgets will satisfy the fussiest of anglers, and thrill those who love finding all their fishing bits and pieces in the one place. Known for some of the best prices around, Tacklebusters always draw a crowd and certainly live-up to their name.

Trailer boats are the most popular class of recreational powered vessels in Australia, and family owned Dunbier Group brings a range of trailers to the show suitable for a variety of boats. "People spend a lot of time choosing the best boat, but often overlook the value presented by a safe and suitable trailer," said Dunbier's Emily Reid. "We're proud to exhibit a whole range of our products at this year's show, and in particular we will be releasing the outstanding European Knott jockey wheels, Rollamatics with their popular rear swinging tiltable cradle to make launching and retrieving at boat ramps a breeze, and the Australian made Centreline Series, now available in a wide frame."

With almost 5 million people enjoying our waterways each year in Australia, the Show includes plenty of other education and entertainment as well. Fishing masterclasses and on water equipment demonstrations are just a few of the many activities included with the entry ticket.

The show is open each day from 10AM. Adult tickets are $15. Concessions are available for families, kids and seniors, with individual entry just $5 after 5PM. Up to date details available at www.brisbaneboatshow.com.au.
