Hamilton Island Marina has been awarded 5 Gold Anchor accreditation with the Global Gold Anchor Scheme. The high profile resort located within the Queensland Whitsunday Islands is a mecca for boating enthusiasts with Hamilton Island Race Week now established as an iconic yachting event.

The award was presented at the Hamilton Island Marina by Colin Bransgrove, Executive Officer of the Marina Industries Association to David Boyd, Hamilton Island General Manager Retail, Activities and Marina and to Scott Hornstra the Marina Manager. Colin said "the awarding of 5 Gold Anchor accreditation to Hamilton Island Marina is recognition of the resorts commitment to continual improvement and a very strong customer service focus. The berthing facilities and the marina customer service rated very highly with the sample of berth holders whose feedback helped form the final rating".

Gold Anchor accreditation rates marina and related services according to an international customer centric criteria encompassing some 100 elements of marina facilities and services. Hamilton Island Marina has 301 wet berths for boats up to 60m, 120 dry berths, boat yard services and extensive resort facilities.

David Boyd said "This achievement is a proud reflection of the quality of our facility and five star service levels delivered at Hamilton Island Marina. The Gold Anchor status provides an assurance to our current and prospective customers of the quality of our marina facility and service levels in line with our brand, and our commitment to excellence. We are delighted to be recognised as a Gold Anchor Marina within the professional standards and obligations required under the Global Gold Anchor Scheme."

More details about the Global Gold Anchor Scheme can be found on the Marina Industries Association website.
