Boat Shows always present opportunities for boat builders to launch their new models and the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is no exception.
Palm Beach Motor Yachts, while developing its next model, identified a void in the refined high-performance market place and the stunning new GT50 was born. The design philosophy was to create a visually elegant cruiser capable of 40-plus knots, with an economic cruise speed in the mid-30-knot range, and all in a yacht that was simple to operate and easy to own. Also on display at SCIBS 2019, the Palm Beach 50 the first ever Australian stock boat the company has built, an incredibly rare occasion, available for immediate delivery.
On a smaller scale, Whittley Marine and long-time Brisbane based dealership, Northside Marine, are set to unveil new CR 2080 and CR 2180 Yamaha Outboard powered packages at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, with fantastic rebates available from all three parties for the duration of the show. Bill Hull, Sales Manager at Northside Marine, had this to say about the Queensland release of these two new affordable packages. "After recent feedback from our customers and social media platforms, the demand locally in Queensland has grown for Whittley's smaller models from the CR series to be offered with Yamaha Outboards over traditional stern drive powered packages."
Its not just boat launches happening in Queensland. Just seven months after the Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate turned the first sod on The Boat Works' north precinct, which effectively doubles the facility to 43 acres in total, Stage 1 is complete and operating. The innovative and popular "Dry Marina" storage for vessels 25 to 65-feet is awash with 70 boats. G Arm boasts purpose-built multihull berths to accommodate wide-bodied catamarans up to 18m in length and is already at capacity, with a large number of brokerage stock from Multihull Solutions. There's also a 30m side shoot to accommodate superyachts up to 45m. Mark Elkington Managing Director of Multihull Solutions said new north precinct has been a great development for his business.
Further south in Adelaide the Boating Industry is gearing up for the Adelaide Boat Show. The 2019 show, South Australia's most comprehensive recreational marine exhibition, will take place at the Adelaide Convention Centre 28-30 June 2019. The move to this year's venue promises an inspiring and diverse exhibition of marine craft and accessories for anyone who loves boating, or aspires to spend more time on the water.
The popularity of the Adelaide Boat Show over the past few years with exhibitors, and the growing number of visitors to the show, indicates that boating in South Australia is more popular than ever, and remains an attractive pastime for families, water skiers, wakeboarders and fishing enthusiasts. Tickets are now on sale. Adult tickets to the show are $10, with children 6-17 years of age $5. Kids five years old and younger are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
And on the product front the Ewincher is a power-assisted handle that makes winching so much easier. It's designed to perfectly assist sailing manoeuvres without altering your natural movements. Increase your power and speed with very limited effort while maintaining an ideal position. Using the Ewincher App, you can adjust the maximum operating power and torque delivered. All sailors will therefore be able to adjust the handle according to their strength or the level of effort they require. Ewincher is so powerful that all users will be able to find the appropriate settings for them. It can also be set to an intermediate level to suit everyone.
