Following the great success of this year's Round Martinique Regatta, the organisers of the event are already hard at work preparing for the 35th edition next year.

From Thursday 13th to Sunday 16th February 2020, Martinique's coastlines will once again play host to the monohulls and multihulls taking part in the four races of the program: the Round Raid, the Round Rally, the Round Rock and the Round Bay. A program which has been tailor-made so that everyone can enjoy what the regatta has to offer along the full length of Martinique's shore.

Organised by the Yacht Club de la Martinique (YCM), with the support of the Ligue de Voile, and in partnership with the Club Nautique le Neptune (CNN), the Club Nautique du Marin (CNM), the Association Ven Dan Vwèl 972 (VDV972) and the Open The Bar Association (OTB), the Round Martinique Regatta 2020 is the must-see sailing event in Martinique. For many sailors from all over the world, this regatta is the perfect blend of competition, discovery and joie de vivre.

A tailor-made program at sea

The Round Raid competition, designated for the most experienced racers, will start on Thursday 13th February from 10pm onwards. Leaving Fort de France, the crews will rally towards Sainte Anne, sailing around the north of Martinique along the Atlantic coast. The next morning, on Friday 14th, the rest of the fleet will set off but this time head south to arrive at Saint Anne at the same time. With the rallying over, the two groups will be able to take a moment to catch up and share stories from their respective flights.

The next day, on Saturday 15th February, all the competitors will set off towards the Diamond Rock on the renowned course of the Round Rock. A race where this iconic landmark will become the definitive milestone along the route.

And finally, on Sunday 16th February, the competing boats will battle it out on either technical or coastal courses, depending on which category they have selected.

An entertaining program on land

Located on the Malécon (the waterfront) in Fort de France, the official race village will once again be the epicentre of the Round Martinique Regatta. Not only reserved for the sailors and competitors, it's also a space where spectators can find out more information as well as enjoy the entertainment put on by the organisers and various partners who will be present on site. The village will be open from Thursday February 13th until the evening of Sunday 16th.
