Ronstan ClearStart Watches and Race Timer - Official Timepiece of 2019 Silverrudder Challenge

The Silverrudder Challenge has announced that Ronstan ClearStart™ Watches and Race Timer will be the Official Timepiece of this year's annual event in the waters around Svendborg Denmark, September 20th.

The single-handed coastal race has competitors sailing around the island of Fyn and takes place at the time of the autumn equinox. The regatta begins and ends at the town of Svendborg, located at the most southern part of the island.

Initially the fleet in the 134 nautical mile race was made up of mainly local Danish boats. Since then it has become one of the most popular non-stop offshore coastal races, now attracting many international participants. So many in fact that organisers have had to cap entries at 450. They do say that the challenge is still the same - only you and your boat - but with the increased participation the competition certainly gets tougher.

Of having Ronstan join the event, Phillip Max Cossen from the Silverrudder team mentioned how delighted they were to have a famous multinational sailing organisation as far away as Australia consider the such an event worth sponsoring. "The past seven years has seen the event grow from strength to strength and 2019 should not be any different- to win the honour of being the first to return to beautiful Svendborg is the challenge set."
