Marine businesses within the Gosport, Fareham and Portsmouth Harbour area are invited to attend a networking event on Friday 7 Feb 2020.

Portsmouth Harbour is a vibrant area of the marine industry, with a keen focus on engineering and design. The team behind Portsmouth Harbour Marine are looking to bring together all those involved within the marine sector, whether sole traders, marina operators or course leaders from local colleges and universities.

With this in mind, a carefully curated series of brief presentations has been put together, aiming to spotlight potential opportunities at up and coming events for marine businesses within the area. Prior to these, there will be time for businesses to connect with one another.

Taking place at the Alverbank Hotel, Stokes Bay, Gosport, PO12 2QT the event will be a combination of engaging speakers, networking opportunities, and a complimentary delicious light buffet.

The program includes an update on the Emirates America's Cup World Series to be held in June, details of the Yacht Racing Forum being held in Portsmouth Harbour in November and how to become involved, news about the PHM skills survey which will taking place across the region, information regarding Bay House School's proposed Sailing Academy, opportunities for marine businesses following the purchase of the former MoD waterfront site adjacent to Royal Clarence Yard, and details of the Gosport Marine Festival 2021.

The event starts at noon with registration starting at 11:45. It's scheduled to finish by 14:30. Tickets for this free networking opportunity are available from phmfebevent.eventbrite.co.uk.

Portsmouth Harbour Marine is committed to facilitating the needs of marine businesses in the area and increasing marine employment. Within this, it is developing awareness of Portsmouth Harbour as a base for marine businesses, by successfully bidding for events such as the Yacht Racing Forum.

As the industry voice representing the interests of marine businesses within the Portsmouth Harbour area, Portsmouth Harbour Marine aims to develop opportunities for local communities to have fun in and on the water, as well as developing awareness of the Harbour as a destination for leisure and racing boats.
