Beyond the Lockdown: 29ers have sprint racing at Wakatere ahead of the Nationals

Sailing is on the comeback after too many weeks of lockdown. A good turnout of 29er sailors took advantage of a perfect day (for winter) on Saturday with an afternoon's sprint racing off Wakatere Boating Club on Auckland's North Shore.

The breeze was a little lacking at times, but there was still enough for some close racing.

The Nationals for the class will be held in the Bay of Islands from July 11-13. Hopefully they will get more of the beautiful weather - that Auckland experienced in the weekend and for which the Far North is renowned.
