Heesen is delighted to announce the sale of YN 19255, Project Pollux, the second in the newly restyled 55-metre Steel class, which offers spacious accommodation for 12 guests in six staterooms.

Pollux is the tenth Heesen interior penned by British studio Bannenberg & Rowell. This project commenced on speculation and Bannenberg & Rowell were given free rein. The result is a calm and sophisticated look.

Guests are welcomed into the main saloon through powered glass sliding doors. This elegant space is finished in a pair of contrasting timbers - eucalyptus, pale eucalyptus and dark stained eucalyptus. A chic Chevron floor serves as the perfect complement. Full height joinery elements include bookcases on the port side with storage below, and on the starboard side an integral bar unit.

Forward, the lounge area offers guests far-reaching views of the outdoors through floor-to-ceiling windows and open bulwarks. Adjacent to the seating area forward, the formal dining seats up to 12 guests. Additional full height windows flood this space with natural light and unparalleled sight lines.

Walking forward past the entrance lobby, the owner's suite occupies a generous 86 square metres. This vast space offers a secluded haven for the owners to work, relax and rest away from guests. Floor-to-ceiling windows open onto the sea and surrounding nature. The detailed finishes continue the soft and broadly light-toned palette of smoky grey finished eucalyptus and the same continuation of the Chevron pattern in smoked oak.

That same knocked-back palette continues through into the his-and-her bathroom where Thassos and Laurent Gris are the chief marbles used to create a luxurious feeling. Some interesting textured limestone completes the diverse offering.

The overall effect is calming yet not anonymous and refined without being pretentious. Four spacious guest cabins are found on the lower deck.

Access to the lower and upper decks is via a sculptural staircase with leather treads that spiral up, accompanying guests from one deck to the next.

The sky lounge, designed as a versatile space, comprises a free-standing bar ideal for enjoying the view out of large panoramic windows. Moving forward from the sky lounge, the fifth cabin - the VIP - is found on the starboard side.

Ample outdoor spaces offer guests the ideal setting in which to enjoy life at sea. The sundeck is complete with bar, dining and a large jacuzzi.

With tender and toys stored on the fore deck, another notable space is found on the lower deck aft: the beach club with steam room and sauna, ideal for relaxing and with easy access to the water via the fixed swim platform.

Project Pollux's imaginative interior design, perfectly crafted by Heesen's in-house team of cabinet makers, is wrapped in a muscular exterior design by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects. The bold lines of the 55-metre class embody the evolution of the shipyard's DNA. Heesen's traditional sportiness is now combined with masculine lines typical of long-range blue water motor yachts recognisable from afar.

The beauty of the 55-metre steel class continues underwater. Her steel hull is an iteration of the uber-efficient FDHF devised by Dutch hydrodynamicists Van Oossanen and engineered by Heesen's in-house team of naval architects. Two MTU 8V 4000 M63 (IMO Tier III) will propel Pollux to a maximum speed of 15.5 knots. At a cruising speed of 13 knots, she will have a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles.

Project Pollux is currently undergoing intensive sea trials in the North Sea and will be delivered to her owners by the end of January 2021.
