Seafloatech, the specialist in sustainable mooring solutions, presents the latest addition to its range: the Fishbone. This new product is a collective mooring platform, which can be installed in open sea and/or windy zones.

The Fishbone modules are adapted to bodies of water subject to the effects of sustained wave and wind flows.

"The idea for the Fishbone came about at a time when we were looking to optimise mooring multiple vessels at a single point, while minimising the dredging linked to the wind and the current, and at the same time minimising costs," explains Lionel Péan, President and Founder of Seafloatech.

The Fishbone modules are fixed to the seabed with the Seafloatech POD®, a seabed-to-surface anchoring device that stabilises the surface module, while reducing its rotational radius. It is fully adaptable to different marine environments and has a very low ecological footprint.

The Seafloatech POD® allows for vessels to be moored without being individually anchored, by absorbing the effects of the wind, swell, currents, surges and tides, flooding and rising water levels subject to surface installations.

It is also possible to adapt the Fishbone to dock a range in number of vessels, from 8 ribs measuring 5m by 15m or more, and in an economical way.

"By increasing the number of boats for the same price, the installation becomes much more financially viable." Péan continues.

With a gentle return to normal in 2021, Seafloatech is looking forward to what will be a pivotal year for them, with the installation of its No.1 product in Saint-Tropez during the summer. More info to follow, so watch this space!

In other news, Seafloatech is currently participating as a virtual exhibitor at the Association of Marine Industries Conference and Exhibition in the USA, and will be exhibiting on-site at the Dubai Boat Show which will take place next month from 9th - 13th March.
