The Ewincher is a real alternative to electric winches and has been incredibly successful since its launch in 2017.

In 2021, the French manufacturer EWINCHER pushes the quest for innovation and performance even further by launching the Ewincher 2: Faster, more powerful and with increased usability, Ewincher 2 offers a 20% performance boost.

Unique with its three operating modes (electric, manual, and combined) Ewincher 2 provides maximum comfort, precision, and high speed for all manoeuvres.

Thanks to a 450 W battery and a patented efficient motor, you always have 230 W and 90 Nm torque available on the winch tip.

A crew member in good physical condition will be able to produce a maximum energy ratio of 200 W over 30 seconds by winching constantly; then they will slow down and begin to feel fatigued.

In comparison Ewincher2 can provide 230W of useful energy on the winch constantly at full speed.

With this new model and its enhanced performance, Ewincher 2 has become the perfect solution for motorising all winches easily and efficiently.

Ewincher 2 weighs only 2.2kg and is the same length as a standard handle.

Effortless performance: manoeuvres become easy, quick, and precise with Ewincher 2 as this video shows.

Ewincher provides a Guarantee of Maximum Safety

  • Torque Limiter
  • Adjustable Speed
  • Permanent Monitoring of the Force Applied
  • Ewincher enables you to keep constant hand feeling, you always keep control of your manoeuvre, as with a standard handle. So, if something gets jammed, you feel it immediately and react accordingly.
  • The Ewincher speed regulator enables precise manoeuvring, you can slow down or speed up according to the phase of your manoeuvre.
  • It is quite different from an electric winch that is either stopped or at full speed.
  • Ewincher is equipped with a sensitive and adjustable torque limiter avoiding the risk of material or physical damage.
In effect, you choose the upper torque limit and Ewincher will not be able to surpass it. You can easily adjust this limit with the Ewincher application available on all smartphones.

Why is Ewincher a real alternative to Electric Winches?

  • Cheaper than a installing a new electric winch.
  • Ewincher, an all-in-one solution
    • It provides full assistance on all winches, during all manoeuvres, including your genoa furler which becomes motorised.
  • Ready to use solution:
    • Does not require any extra installation on board.
  • Better adjustment of control lines:
    • Ewincher enables you to keep constant hand feeling.
    • The Ewincher speed regulator enables precise handling. Most electric winches do not have a speed regulator (On/Off button).
  • Preserve your service batteries:
    • Electric winches are often put a drain on service batteries. Each time they are used, they require from 60 to 100 A. These high and repeated discharge currents can cause accelerated ageing of service batteries. Ewincher, on the other hand, is equipped with its own battery designed to bear high discharge currents. When you recharge your Ewincher battery on your service batteries, the demand current is only 6 A, so there is no risk for your service batteries.
  • A solution for winches that are unable to be electrified:
    • Sometimes the installation of an electric winch is not always possible. Cockpits and deck layouts do not always provide sufficient space to install the electric motor so the Ewincher will provide a solution.
The Ewincher 2 Pack contains:
  • 1 Ewincher 2
  • 1 lithium-ion battery
  • 1 charger 240V AC
  • 1 converter 12V DC
  • 1 handle pocket for stowing your Ewincher when not in use.
  • 1 transport case
  • 1 safety hand strap
