A great show for Windelo at Cannes Yachting Festival 2022

by Windelo 7 Oct 2022 03:53 PDT 6-11 September 2022

For the third time, the Windelo staff was delighted to take part in the Cannes Yachting Festival, which took place from 6 to 11 September 2022.

It was the first time that we showed our Windelo 54 Yachting, just back from sailing the Mediterranean Sea, in Port Canto. This year, we welcomed visitors at two different areas: on Zig Zag, a Windelo 54, for a full tour of our environmentally friendly catamaran, and at a lounge area, where we had the time to talk and learn more about your passions and discover your sailing dreams and exciting projects.

Cannes premiere of the Windelo 54 Yachting

Designed with the eco-friendly, comfortable, and performance hallmarks of the Windelo 50 Adventure, the new features of the Windelo 54 Yachting captured your attention. Even more space, comfort, and higher performance due to having lengthened the hulls.

The larger nacelle allows space for a forward-facing chart table at the foot of the forward cockpit, as well as new relaxation areas. The Windelo 54 Yachting has extra space and storage in the common and private areas, which is very useful if you are planning to sail to distant horizons.

The lengthened hulls improve the length-to-beam ratio, which was already a success on the 50. This can be felt in the stability and the catamaran's performance, with an improvement in the region of 10%, also enhanced by a larger sail area and bows inverted to 9 degrees. The trampoline, which is also longer in relation to the Windelo 50, provides greater comfort and better protection in the forward cockpit. Plenty of features that keen sailors will love.

We have paid special attention to the comfort of the accommodations (thickness of cushions, feel of fabrics, etc.) The standard equipment and options available all make sailing easy and comfortable. The Yachting version comes with the following as standard:

  • A customized hull wrap
  • A white lacquered aluminum mast and boom
  • A chain counter and Spade 160 35 kg anchor with 70 mm chain diameter 12 mm
  • A customized folding composite gangway
  • Two electric toilets
  • Blinds and curtains in the saloon and hulls
  • An open galley and Corian worktop
  • An Induction hob and an electric oven
  • Exclusive upholstery (fabric + foam)
  • High-end lighting
  • Exclusive accessories and furniture

A great show for Windelo at Cannes 2022!

We were thrilled to see, once again, that the number of people eager and enthusiastic about sustainable development and protecting our earth's oceans is growing. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Cannes Yachting Festival for having organized a Green Route.

We are leaving the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival behind with some wonderful and unforgettable stories. The ARC, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Norway, Croatia, etc. - for some, Cannes was the dawning of a dream, and for others, the start of an adventure. We were really delighted to meet you and would like to thank you for coming to share your projects and dreams with us. It will be exciting to accompany our new Windelo sailors with their projects and explore all those wonderful destinations through their eyes and cameras!

We are impatient to see you again soon at the International Multihull Boat Show, in La Grande Motte or at our factory in Canet-en-Roussillon.
