World Cat is celebrating its 25th anniversary with its 2023 model year. Bringing their first catamarans to market in the fall of 1998, Word Cat started production in Greenville, NC with three models and 19 employees.

With the start of their 25th model year, World Cat now has more than 350 employees in two facilities in North Carolina - Tarboro and Greenville- along with 13 models ranging from 23' to 40', featuring center consoles, dual consoles, and sun decks. Each catamaran in the 2023 model year will feature the custom 25th anniversary edition emblem, signifying this incredible milestone.

The successful launch of the 246SF Sport Fisherman, 266SC Sport Cuddy, and the 266SF Sport Fisherman along with the World Cat brand catapulted the company into years of successful model development, engineering innovation, and production of several top-of-its-class catamarans including the 255DC Dual Console. After the addition of the new Greenville facility in 2020, production began on the largest World Cat center console model, the 400CC-X.

The newest model in World Cat's lineup, the new 260CC-X, is now in production after a successful pre-production launch campaign that began in the spring of 2022. This center console was in development for 14 months, and boasts a draft of 14", allowing customers the ability to cruise or fish inshore, as well as having the performance, stability, and safety offshore that World Cat models are known for. With a focus on innovation and versatility, a key feature of the new 260CC-X is the unique 50" transom bench that folds-down to a flush aft casting deck.

"We are immensely proud of all that World Cat has done over its 25-year history," said Andrew Brown, President of World Cat Boats. "With a lot of hard work and dedication, we have become one of the top selling power catamaran manufactures on the market. It could not have happened without the incredible employees we have had over the years, our dedicated network of dealers, and of course, our loyal customers. We will continue to stay committed to building the best of the best and bringing you A Better Way To Boat® for another 25 years."

Headquartered in Tarboro, NC, with an additional production facility in Greenville, NC, World Cat manufactures outboard-powered center and dual console catamaran models ranging from 23'-40'. World Cat models are known for their versatility, legendary smooth ride, class-leading available deck space, and performance...A Better Way To Boatâ„¢.
