A new powerboat owners' club which aims to make access to powerboats more flexible and accessible is launching at the Southampton Boat Show this year.

Run by a team of professional mariners, Powerboatclub.uk has been created to give people access to the latest vessels in a safe, supportive environment, whilst enabling them to "take the next step" towards their boating dreams with friends and family.

The complete service and attention to detail means all members have to do is collect the keys, as the team takes care of berthing, insurance, maintenance and cleaning.

'This is all about offering a total service, peace of mind and ultimately making access to boats so much more accessible, explains co-owner Noel Hutchinson (run with partner and superyacht expert Emily Copeland), who has built a reputation for excellence in powerboat training through his Poole-based "Get Lost Powerboat Training" school.

'Emily, the team and I have met and worked with thousands of aspiring boat owners through our training school and people who already have one boat of their own. They have told us loud and clear that flexibility and variety is the dream.

'So we have created something that means that people are longer tied to owning just one boat and making do. As such, the fleet is comprised of a carefully selected group of vessels, with each having different characteristics and different purposes and each suited to different days on the water.

There are two levels of membership for those joining Powerboatclub.uk, "Deck Membership" is for those people who just want jetskis, giving access to a fleet of jetskis, as often as they like, 12 months a year.

Meanwhile, "Bosun's Membership" unlocks unlimited access to the fleet of open sports boats and jetskis all year round and with a mix of boats, there's something for everyone.

Plus, with the links to the multi award-winning Get Lost Powerboat Training, RYA training school, members are offered as much free training as they would like.

There's even a special events calendar, featuring yachting courses in the Mediterranean, member BBQ's, water parties and more, that either grow members' social network within the club or are designed to take their boating skills further.

Powerboatclub.uk is based at Poole Harbour, the second largest natural harbour in the world. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the official start of the Jurassic Coast and the South West Coast Path.

'There are dozens of excellent destinations for boaters,' concludes co-founder Emily, 'and now there is a wider variety of boats to explore them in. So next time you cast off, you will be in the right boat for the day ahead.'
