July is predicted to be a relatively quiet month on the Atlantic and Gulf coasts from a flooding perspective, with no locations forecast to have flooding.
On the West Coast, flooding is possible in the southern California harbors of San Diego, La Jolla, Los Angeles, and Santa Monica. The Hawaiian Islands will also see the possibility of flooding in all harbors, and flooding is likely on the island of Kauai. Mean sea level is typically higher in the summertime due to changing weather patterns and rising water temperatures, and higher tides (and also lower low tides) should be expected on and around the full moon, on July 10, and the new moon, on July 24.
Make sure to print out the tide chart for your part of the coast so that you can keep track of the water levels in your favorite harbors.
