From Europe, but having an influence on our marine industry, the European Boating Industry, in collaboration with boot Düsseldorf, is excited to announce the upcoming Breakfast Meeting 2024, set to be a crucial event, reuniting industry leaders and stakeholders. The theme for 2024 is on the new generation of leaders and new investment with its impact of a changing strategic direction for the industry.

The opening keynote will be given by Giovanna Vitelli, Chair of the Azimut|Benetti Group. Scheduled for January 23rd 8:30-10:30AM, the event will take place at the Congress Center Düsseldorf, CCD Süd, Room 3, during boot Düsseldorf 2024. It will provide unique insight into how they look at the direction of the industry and plan to shape it.

Therefore, the countdown to the world's largest watersports show is on. boot Düsseldorf is ready for take-off across an area of 220,000 square metres in 16 exhibition halls. Director Petros Michelidakis is delighted: "boot 2024 will be a show of superlatives. We have spectacular world premieres of motorboats and sailing yachts on board. A total of almost 1,100 boats will be moored in Düsseldorf.

"Superboat Hall 5 is unique in the world and has been on a hugely successful course since boot 2020. Everything that makes a name for itself in luxury tenders is here. Our home port for luxury yachts in Hall 6 is also shining in all its glory. And the offer in sailing halls 15 and 16 with the international market leaders in the sailing industry is perfect."

From Canada, nominations are being accepted for the 2024 NMMA Canada Hall of Fame. Inductees include those who have or continue to, generate substantial and lasting contributions toward advancing the marine industry. The due date for nominations is December 15th. Expansions this week includes technology company Arc. Arc has grown rapidly. In 2.5 years, they delivered their first electric boat model to customers, secured more than $100 million in funding, and scaled their team from 3 to more than 80.

And that was just the beginning. They have now unveiled their new 150,000 square-foot factory and headquarters in Los Angeles. This milestone move is a symbol of their long-term commitment to electrifying the marine industry. The new HQ will help them scale production and meet the needs of growing demand across boating enthusiasts new and old — beginning with their first mass-market boat hitting the waves early next year.

Brownell Boat Stands & Equipment, manufacturer of the highest-quality safest boat storage equipment on the market, celebrating its 70th year in 2024, announced today that due to recent growth it has broken ground on a new manufacturing facility and has signed a new, exciting partnership with P&D Marine Services in the UK.

At almost 50,000 square-feet, the new manufacturing facility, located in Dartmouth, MA, is 10% larger than Brownell's current factory, which has served the company for all of its seven decades of business. Not too far from the company's current facility, this site will provide for an easy transition of the company's existing, experienced staff.

The Board of Directors of The Sailing Museum and National Sailing Hall of Fame announced that three new hires have joined the staff: Jared Casci as Administrator and Volunteer Coordinator, Kelly Connell as Special Events Manager and Michelle Zachary as Development and Membership Manager. "We're so excited to expand our capabilities with these talented individuals joining our team," said Ashley Householder, Executive Director.

"They each come from such diverse backgrounds and bring to the table a great deal of potential for outstanding contribution to our work and mission. We know that they're going to be amazing assets as we continue to promote and grow the programs at the Museum."
