ABT Marian M 800-R - An electric yacht in a class of its own

by ABT Sportsline 24 Apr 2024 04:20 PDT

ABT and Marian jointly develop the electric sports boat ABT | Marian M 800-R, limited to 20 units and with a power output of up to 450 kW

The company is particularly proud of this premiere: in collaboration with the Austrian specialist for electric yachts, ABT Sportsline dares to take the proverbial plunge into the water and presents its first electric boat: The luxurious ABT | Marian M 800-R delivers up to 450 kW, reaches a top speed of up to 85 km/h and boasts an elegant design.

"With Marian and ABT Sportsline, two like-minded traditional companies come together that stand for perfect craftsmanship, innovative spirit and technological progress" - says Hans-Jürgen Abt, Managing Partner of ABT Sportsline.

"In ABT Sportsline, we have a partner whose expertise has made the M 800-R an exceptional sports boat. As a specialist for electric yachts, the promotion of e-drives in the maritime sector is particularly important to us" - Ion Marian, CEO Marian.

Combining many years of experience and in-depth know-how in their respective fields, the continuous pursuit of progress and attention to detail, ABT and Marian are two specialists who have come together to create an exclusive electric yacht that has been thought out down to the smallest detail and features luxurious equipment that is second to none.

The basis for the ABT I Marian M 800-R is the Marian M 800 Spyder from the boat builder in St. Wolfgang near to Wolfgangsee. The hull is specially designed for the electric drive as a particularly efficient semi-glider. This not only gives the boat a long range of 80 kilometers in Cruise Mode, but also a remarkable top speed of 85 km/h. Coupled with a shaft propulsion, this design guarantees maximum cruising comfort. Thanks to its special design, the foredeck offers comfortable seating and lounging for up to nine passengers.

The M 800-R is powered by a 250 kW Next-Gen-E motor, which is supplied by a lithium-ion battery with 121.5 kWh and an integrated extinguishing system. The CCS charger enables fast charging with up to 150 kW, which achieves a charge in less than one hour, while the Juice Booster supports charges of up to 22 kW. Both conventional charging stations for electric cars and maritime charging stations are suitable.

The M 800-R can be operated in various driving modes. In ABT MODE, up to 450 kW is mobilized by activating all water pumps and optimizing cooling. In addition to the sporty driving mode, there are two other programs: In PORT MODE, the power is reduced to 15 kW for safe maneuverability in harbours, for example, while CRUISE MODE is pleasantly quiet and optimized for efficient long-distance driving with up to 250 kW. The ABT I Marian M 800-R is not only visually stunning, but also smartly designed to adapt to different waters thanks to its suitability for fresh and salt water. There is also an over-the-air update and diagnostic capability, which allows the boat to be diagnosed remotely if necessary.

The design elements created and constructed by ABT, such as the Alcantara seats with seat back shells, combine elegance with functionality and offer passengers maximum comfort while driving. A particularly striking feature is the air intake for the engine compartment, which is based on the characteristic wheel arch vents of the ABT Sportsline special models. The ambient and underwater lighting creates a fascinating atmosphere on board, both by day and by night.

Additional fine visual highlights inside the electric yacht include an illuminated multifunction steering wheel, elegant black cleats, which can be retracted if desired, and a state-of-the-art 12-inch multifunction display. This offers not only a GPS chart plotter, but also a water temperature display and an echo sounder. The choice of red leather upholstery pays homage to ABT Sportsline's corporate colors and lends the unique electric yacht a touch of dynamism and elegance that underlines its personality. This top-class sports boat is available in anthracite and white.

The ABT | Marian M 800-R is manufactured in a limited edition of 20 units at the Marian shipyard in Austria. The price is 450,000 euros (excl. VAT). The maritime masterpiece will be presented to the public for the first time at the Formula E race in Monaco at Port Hercule, Pontoon F on April 26. Following the premiere, an ABT | Marian "roadshow" is planned at Wolfgangsee, Wörthersee, Starnberger See and Gardasee.
