NMMA Report outlines Canada's 2024 Economic Trends, increase in operator cards

NMMA has released its 2024 Canadian Economic Factoids report offering a detailed look at national economic indicators from 2011 through 2024, now available as part of the annual Canadian Recreational Boating Statistical Abstract.

In 2024, Canada's economy continued its expansion with modest but steady progress. Real GDP grew by 1.6% to $2.4 trillion, marking the fourth consecutive year of growth, while disposable income surged 7.5% to $1.7 trillion, outpacing gains from the previous two years. Personal expenditures climbed 2.4% to $1.4 trillion, with positive growth in all four quarters, signaling persistent consumer activity.

Confidence metrics diverged: Consumer sentiment fell to an average of 65.6, remaining below 70 for most of the year. Business confidence edged higher to 74, peaking in the spring quarter.
