Wisconsin Governor kicks off fishing season, recognizing boating's economic impact

Proudly sponsoring the annual Wisconsin Governor's Fishing Opener over the weekend, the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) joined Wisconsin outdoor enthusiasts to celebrate the significant economic impact of recreational boating and fishing in the state.

"This is an event that transcends politics," said Wisconsin Governor, Tony Evers in his remarks. Fishing and anything outdoors is something that brings us all together."

The Northwest Wisconsin event was held in Burnett County on Yellow Lake to kickoff the rich outdoor heritage that fishing provides to the region.
