Marinas24 Day 1: Business of Boatyards

by Marina Industries Association 20 May 2024 21:53 PDT 27-28 May 2024

The highly anticipated Marinas24 International Conference and Trade Exhibition is just five days away, set to take place at the Royal International Convention Centre (RICC) in Brisbane. With over 370 delegates from 14 countries already registered, this event promises to be a significant gathering of industry professionals from around the globe.

One of the highlights of the conference is the Business of Boatyards session on the first day, chaired by Sydney-based boatyard veteran Lorraine Yates from White Bay 6 Marine Park.

This session will feature a powerhouse panel of industry experts including Irina Atasanova, Australia Sales Manager, Yacht Coatings AkzoNobel, Luke McCaul, Director, Zeal Marinas, and Nick McGuire, General Sales Manager, The Yard, Brisbane.

The panel will discuss emerging and future technology for underwater protective coatings in response to environmental demands. The session will examine the challenges of increased industry competition and explore creative ideas for boatyards to diversify revenue sources. Also in focus will be an examination of the journey through the boatyard from the customer perspective, and enhancing the customer experience. It's these things that make this session a vital component of any successful boatyard.
