The alluring 100-foot charter vessel, Shadow will be among the largest on display at this year's Sydney International Boat Show and is testament to the talents and resources of full-service yachting agency, Chapman.

At the 2024 Sydney International Boat Show, 1 to 4 August, the team from Chapman will exhibit aboard Shadow and host events for clients and industry.

With her flawless silver hull, black superstructure and svelte Italian-built profile, Shadow will certainly turn heads on the marina, just as she does cruising Sydney Harbour as an in-demand charter yacht.

In March 2023, CHAPMAN was engaged to budget, plan and oversee the entire refit, then manage and operate the vessel in charter. The entire project took just five months to complete.

"Shadow is the perfect example of our full-service offering," said Chapman founder and CEO, Cooper Chapman. "Sales, refit, maintenance, service, charter and crewing - we handle every aspect of yacht management."

With two locations in Sydney - Rozelle and Point Piper - and a new Gold Coast headquarters at The Boat Works, Chapman currently manage 36 vessels in a model that is proving successful and appealing to vessel owners.

"We are the central agent running all aspects of the vessel, from repairs and maintenance to scheduling the part-time-permanent crew on a rotating roster," Cooper explained.

"Our model keeps costs low. The boat runs smoother, the crew have flexibility and adequate rest, which increases morale and leads to a healthy, positive dynamic on board."

At SIBS 2024, Cooper and his team will be promoting their operations at the newly constructed boutique premises known as "The Wharf" within The Boat Works' superyacht yard, and encouraging owners to consider stopping on the Gold Coast before or after their northern migration.

The Chapman Gold Coast headquarters is led by Managing Director, Sam Eyles, who is a professional Captain with international experience and a seasoned Project Manager.

Most recently, Chapman undertook the refit of a 24-metre sailing ketch from France which was re-purposed as "Oceania", Greenpeace Australia's first dedicated campaign vessel in our region. The Chapman team worked around the clock to ensure the complex project was completed in a phenomenal seven-weeks.

Next on the agenda is the full refit of popular charter vessel, Sea Raes, which is part of the renowned Rae's at Byron Bay hospitality group.

"The Boat Works is the ideal pitstop for vessels travelling south to north each year," Cooper stated.

"We will be showing owners and our contacts in Sydney the quality of the work on board Shadow which conveys the world-class calibre of the trades at The Boat Works and demonstrates our project management capacity, attention to detail and expertise to fulfil a brief on time and to budget."

Chapman will exhibit Shadow at M137 on the Cockle Bay Marina at the 2024 Sydney International Boat Show, 1 to 4 August.
