The innovators behind the spectacular new GX Superyachts brand have joined forces with Northrop & Johnson to market the yachts in the Americas.

  • Brand launched in September at the Monaco Yacht Show
  • First stunning 42m model in build with an early 2026 delivery
  • Hybrid propulsion and solar panels slash operational emissions
  • Northrop & Johnson to market the yachts in the Americas
  • More models to be unveiled soon

Signing with such a highly respected brokerage house underlines the ambition and reach of a team that only publicly launched in September at the Monaco Yacht Show. The brand stands for high levels of luxury combined with respect for the planet.

Construction work on the first hull is already well advanced at SES Yachts in Istanbul, Turkey. It is a 42m (138ft) model built in aluminum and designed for ultra-efficient hybrid propulsion. With a refined hull shape and a huge solar array, the yacht will have a carbon footprint that is 60 per cent smaller than a conventional model of the same size. GX Superyachts builds strongly on the expertise of their sister company Greenline Yachts, which leads the market for hybrid yachts up to 58ft.

"Since we launched GX Superyachts in Monaco last year, we have received lots of attention and potential sales leads," said founder and owner, Vladimir Zinchenko. "We were hoping to make a big splash, but the response has been overwhelming. That is why we have taken the important step of joining with a big brokerage house that shares our values and has a particular focus on the American market."

Northrop & Johnson will be sole agents in North and South America for the GX42, whose first example is already sold to a European owner. Not only that, but the respected brokerage house will also represent two further models from GX Superyachts in the 24m to 56m (78-165ft) range.

Northrop & Johnson President and CCO, Cromwell Littlejohn, said: "As we mark our 75th year in business, it is tempting to look back on our past achievements. But we firmly believe that the biggest challenges lie ahead of us, with an urgent need to foster environmental and social sustainability. That is why we are so pleased to be representing GX Superyachts, whose stance on responsible yachting backed with green technology is a beacon for the industry."

From the first meeting between the GX Superyachts team and Northrop & Johnson's brokers, it was clear there was a meeting of minds. "We were met with huge enthusiasm at the Fort Lauderdale show in November by Ali Tanir, a new build specialist and listing broker with Northrop & Johnson," said Luca Raumland, Chief Commercial Officer at GX Superyachts "His Turkish background gives him an excellent understanding of the construction process at SES, and he has huge experience in new builds. It gave us confidence we were in the right hands: here was someone who could not only sell but also promote and elevate our new brand in the local market."

Work is progressing right on schedule for the first GX42 in Turkey. The hull was turned just before Christmas and the superstructure fitted soon afterwards. Machinery, piping and wiring trays go in next, with delivery still slated for early summer 2026 - just in time for the cruising season.
