The 36th annual Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) has once again cemented its status as the Southern Hemisphere's premier marine event, drawing an impressive 45,865 visitors over four spectacular days from 22-25 May.
This year's show delivered its largest and most diverse showcase to date, featuring: 300+ leading marine exhibitors from Australia and around the globe, a record 824 boats on display, including 422 vessels on water and 402 on land, 2,500+ marine products ranging from cutting-edge electronics to luxury lifestyle accessories, 92 global, Asia-Pacific and Australia new product launches and debuts.
For TMG Yachts, SCIBS was a resounding success, with a premier line-up of luxury multihulls and motor yachts capturing the attention of boaters from across the country. TMG's reputation for delivering world-class European brands with seamless local aftersales service and support was front and centre.
The show delivered yet another milestone event for Eyachts, with high energy on the docks, strong buyer interest, and standout premieres across our adventure and eco-conscious brands. With record-breaking crowds and a surge of serious boaters, Eyachts' commitment to offering cutting-edge European dayboats and hybrid yachts was on full display. A big welcome to all the new owners who have now joined the Eyachts family.

The Australian Superyacht Conference (ASMEX) was held at stunning new beachfront venue, The Langham Gold Coast in Queensland, 19-21 May. The Conference welcomed 135 delegates from across Australia, and many counties across the world including the Fijian Islands, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden, Taiwan, United Kingdom and the United States, Vanuatu and Vietnam, to participate in the fourteenth edition.
The Australian Marine Industry Awards Gala Dinner, a signature event of ASMEX, was held on 20 May, welcoming 264 guests. Created to celebrate the outstanding dedication, excellence and innovation driving Australia's world-class marine industry, the Awards recognises eleven exceptional winners across the superyacht, commercial and export sectors. This year's Awards program attracted a record number of entries reflecting the industry's continued growth and ambition.
The Nautilus Marine Insurance Marina of the Year Awards brought together the best of the marina industry on a fantastic night at Sydney's Middle Harbour Skiff Club. With guests from Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, UAE, and Singapore, the room was full of industry leaders, rising stars, and passionate professionals sharing stories, laughs, and inspiration.
Overseas, the second edition of the World Foiling Congress took place at Palazzo della Borsa in Genova (Italy), attracting top industry leaders, experts, and stakeholders from across the global Foiling Community. This event confirmed its role as the foremost international forum dedicated to the innovation, regulation, and strategic development of the fast-evolving hydrofoiling sector.
And not forgetting our rescue volunteers, this National Volunteer Week, Marine Rescue NSW celebrated the vital contributions of volunteers who generously give their time to support our communities. In New South Wales, the safety of the boating public is underpinned by the commitment of 3,500 Marine Rescue NSW volunteers. Over the past year, these skilled and selfless individuals have carried out over 4,500 search and rescue missions, safely returning more than 10,000 people to shore.
