As part of its milestone tenth anniversary, The Magenta Project is excited to launch a refreshed brand identity and the first phase of its new website, reinforcing its commitment to equity and inclusion for women in sailing.

This year marks a significant milestone for The Magenta Project as it celebrates its tenth anniversary. This is a prime opportunity to not only reflect on the charity's journey and impact to date, but also communicate its vision for the future - to ensure sailing and its supporting industries are more equitable and inclusive for all.

The new brand design - developed by Pino Design - evolves The Magenta Project's iconic 'M' logo into a modern, future-focused emblem. While maintaining continuity with the past, the refreshed design also carries deeper symbolism. The 'W' within the 'M' represents women at the heart of The Magenta Project's mission, the brushstroke gesture reflects the movement of sails on the horizon, and the circular positioning of the wording emphasises inclusivity. The new colourway - a deep purple - blends blue and magenta together, representing inclusivity and unity across all identities in the sport of sailing and the wider marine industry.

The Magenta Project CEO, Victoria Low said: "This is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter for The Magenta Project. Our new identity is more than just a logo; it represents our evolution. It reflects our ongoing work to create meaningful change in our sport - to inspire, upskill, and drive cultural change in the sport of sailing - and ensure that women remain at the heart of this vision.

"We are eternally grateful to Pino Design for their unfaltering support during this whole process. Their pro bono support, and in particular that of Miriam Ortega, who created our new brand identity and Quique López who has developed our new website, challenged us to think more progressively about our image as well as future proofing our identity and online presence."

Alongside the rebrand, The Magenta Project is rolling out a new, modern and fresh website designed to better communicate its mission, pathways, and programmes. The updated platform will serve as a key resource for the sailing community and marine industry, providing clear information on The Magenta Project's pathways and award winning programmes. An exclusive Magenta Project Community Hub, offering training materials, job boards, and other essential resources, will be launched in the coming weeks.

The new brand identity launch is the latest in development for The Magenta Project which has so far this year announced a new board line-up, followed by the appointment of its first-ever CEO. To prepare itself for the next 10 years, The Magenta Project has also unveiled a series of forward-thinking initiatives, including pioneering research and strategic collaborations designed to drive systemic change across the sector.
