Marina Ibiza has been awarded the international Blue Star Marina certification, granted by the International Marine Certification Institute (IMCI) in partnership with ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club).

After sailing through a meticulous audit process, the marina secured the highest rating of five stars, which honours yachting facilities that provide premium end-to-end services.

"This certification endorses our commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability. Not only does it honour our infrastructures, but also the hard work of the entire Marina Ibiza team", said Dani Marí, Manager of Marina Ibiza.

The Blue Star Marina programme weighs up key aspects such as environmental management, security, accessibility, customer services and facility maintenance, along with the implementation of good practices in port care and management.

What's more, thanks to the partnership with ADAC, Marina Ibiza is now part of a European network of quality marinas recommended for yachtsmen and women from all over the continent.

This recognition underlines Marina Ibiza's well-grounded position as a benchmark marina, not just thanks to its strategic location on the island, but also to its active policy of sustainability and respect for the natural environment.

A status that the marina has proudly upheld since reaching the category of Five?Blue Star Marina in 2013, complemented by a whole host of environmental and quality certifications such as ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment), ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety), registration in the European EMAS system, the Blue Flag seal, and inscription in the Carbon Footprint Register. All this reflects Marina Ibiza's passionate and continued commitment to constant improvement and true sustainability.

In addition to these certifications, in recent years Marina Ibiza has carried out specific environmental actions such as its conversion into a refuge for lizards, awareness campaigns for customers, and the rollout of measures focused on the protection of marine biodiversity.

With these initiatives, Marina Ibiza has taken a further step in its commitment to excellence and responsible yachting, anchoring itself as one of the most sustainable and attractive sailing destinations, with recognition both nationally and internationally.
