Australia's peak marine body, the Boating Industry Association Ltd (BIA) is full steam ahead in preparations for the 2026 Sydney Boat Show to be held from 30 July to 2 August 2026 at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.

Following the strong success of last year's event, the four-day event will once again transform the world-class precinct into a vibrant showcase of the boating, fishing and marine lifestyle. The 2026 Sydney Boat Show will bring together leading Australian and international brands, the latest innovations and thousands of passionate visitors from across NSW and interstate, all under one roof.

The 2025 Sydney Boat Show exceeded expectations, welcoming 23,525 attendees across four days. Spanning more than 21,000 square metres, the event featured more than 130 exhibitors, 400+ boats and thousands of marine accessories and technologies. More than 16 new products were unveiled, including four global debuts, reinforcing the show's reputation as a launchpad for innovation and a catalyst for industry stability and growth.

BIA CEO, Andrew Fielding, said the 2026 event will once again highlight the strength, resilience and diverse offering of Australia's boating, fishing and broader marine communities, while providing an influential platform for businesses to present their latest products and connect with a highly engaged audience.

"The BIA's National Recreational Boating Statement, which was released last year, forecasts that by the end of the decade Australia will have close to three million licensed boat drivers, more than one million registered vessels and around $20 billion spent annually on boating and watercraft-related goods and services, whilst also supporting more than 35,000 Australian jobs," Fielding said.

"The Sydney Boat Show itself delivers an economic boost to the NSW economy with millions in sales and orders underpinning tens of thousands of Marine Jobs.

"In a climate where global conditions are prompting more Australians to embrace local leisure pursuits, the marine lifestyle remains both accessible and deeply rewarding, and the Sydney Boat Show is where that opportunity truly comes to life for exhibitors and attendees alike," he said.

"The 2026 show will be a major celebration of our industry. We're focused on delivering an experience that resonates across all demographics and audiences, from seasoned boat owners to first-time buyers, or from fishing novices to professionals, ensuring visitors leave inspired and planning their next marine adventure," he said.

"We will be rolling out more news in the coming weeks which will include introducing our new event delivery partner, the new sponsor line up, stunning new displays and the Invitation to Exhibit."

Fielding said pre-sale exhibitor demand for 2026 was strong.

The move to Sydney Olympic Park marks the continued evolution of the show's 57-year legacy. After the disruption of the Covid pandemic, which forced two years of cancellations and reshaped decades of boat show delivery, the event has been successfully reshaped through continued industry collaboration and support.
