Solbian, the Italian manufacturer specializing in high-performance flexible solar panels, announces the launch of SunBoard, an innovative solar kit specifically designed for installation on boat lifelines.
The solution provides boat owners and marine professionals with an easy and efficient way to generate renewable energy on board by making use of typically unused spaces.
SunBoard is conceived as a complete, ready-to-install system that introduces Solbian's first rigid-structure module. The kit includes high-efficiency solar panels and a fully adjustable mounting system that can be tilted from 0 to 90 degrees to easily follow the sun's path.
Thanks to advanced solar cell technology and an internal honeycomb structure, SunBoard delivers reliable power generation even in demanding conditions, reducing reliance on onboard generators and improving the overall energy autonomy of the boat both while sailing and at anchor.
Its lightweight and compact design allows the panels to be easily mounted along the lifelines, transforming an otherwise unused area into a valuable energy-generating surface without affecting the boat's aesthetics or functionality. This approach increases the available photovoltaic area without any invasive structural modifications.
"With SunBoard, we wanted to create a practical and accessible solution to bring solar power even where space is extremely limited," says Luca Bonci, CEO of Solbian. "The result is an efficient, easy-to-install system designed to follow the sun and maximize energy harvest throughout the day."
