An insurance business with firm roots in the marine sector is gearing up for a positive next twelve months of growth.
Admiral Marine was launched in 1991 and is part of independent insurance business Hayes Parsons Group. Darren Harris, who is Marine Director and Head of Admiral Marine, says the insurer has seen five years of growth, when it comes to gross written premiums and is anticipating a very positive forward trading period.
Darren comments: "Our team aren't just underwriters - they are sector enthusiasts with a deep knowledge of what it means to live and breathe this world. If you have a high-value boat and you're planning a transatlantic crossing for example, you will have a policy that is built around your individual requirements and has the power of a team with deep knowledge of the sector, behind you."
Darren adds that Admiral Marine does offer insurance policies for boats of all sizes and values and has over 1,000 customers already using their services. For higher-value vessels, it is one of the few MGAs in the UK that have a specialist team able to support customers with their worldwide cruising requirements.
Alongside the growing order book, Darren also adds the last twelve months has also seen several other positive developments.
They have built a new online system which smaller vessel owners can use for their insurance requirements and invested heavily in technology to ensure they are offering the most cutting-edge service possible.
Admiral Marine is also proud of its excellent Trustpilot reviews and net promoter scores (NPS), which have increased significantly in the last twelve months.
To prepare for continued growth, the team has also moved into a new larger office in Barnack Business Park in Salisbury.
Darren concludes: "Our plan is to increase the number of vessels we insure, and the team is also investing time to understand the key trends shaping the sector - whether this is around sustainability, the impact of AI and digital transformation and of course supply chain disruption often caused by geopolitical tensions. We're living in an exciting but challenging world, and we're fully committed to this brilliant industry."
