The response to the Million Pound Challenge is already building momentum—and there's still time for you to join the program.

This summer, ASA members across the country will come together with one shared goal: removing 1,000,000 pounds of trash from our waterways.

From local boat ramps and shorelines to rivers, lakes, and coastal communities, the Million Pound Challenge is an opportunity for our industry to demonstrate leadership where it matters most. Every cleanup organized, every volunteer recruited, and every pound removed helps tell a larger story about the people who protect our nation's fisheries and access to clean water.

Here's how to get involved:

  • Go to the Million Pound Challenge webpage and review the resources.
  • Organize a local cleanup—shorelines, boat ramps, rivers, lakes, and more
  • Rally your staff, customers, and community partners
  • Track and report the trash you remove to contribute to the million-pound goal

ASA is providing participating members with promotional tools, campaign visibility, and a dedicated hub to showcase efforts happening across the country.

Whether you organize a large-scale community event or a small local cleanup with your staff, your participation matters—and every pound counts.

Join the effort today and help us show what the sportfishing industry can accomplish when we work together.
