Island Yacht Management & Sales expands operations with acquisition of Captain Bill's Marina

by Island Yacht Management & Sales 29 May 06:23 PDT

Island Yacht Management & Sales is proud to announce the acquisition and management transition of Captain Bill's Marina, marking an exciting new chapter for one of the South Shore's most well-known waterfront properties.

As a local family with deep roots in the Bayshore community and throughout the Town of Islip, Island Yacht is committed to investing in and enhancing the marina experience while preserving the longstanding boating traditions that have made Captain Bill's a destination for generations of boaters.

Founded on a passion for boating and customer service, Island Yacht has quickly become one of Long Island's fastest-growing full-service marine companies. The company offers new and brokerage boat sales, pre-owned boat inventory, marina services, storage, service, and customer support throughout every stage of boat ownership.

Island Yacht proudly represents five premium, state-of-the-art boat brands including Everglades, Solara, Cutwater, Sailfish, and World Cat, delivering some of the industry's most innovative and sought-after vessels to the Long Island boating community. In addition to its new boat offerings, the company also maintains a growing selection of premium pre-owned and brokerage boats, giving customers a wide variety of options to fit every lifestyle and budget.

The company is both Yamaha and Mercury certified, providing factory-authorized service and support backed by highly trained technicians and a commitment to excellence.

"This acquisition is more than just a business expansion for us, it's personal," said Chet Striplin, Owner of Island Yacht Management & Sales. "We grew up in this community, we boat these waters ourselves, and we understand how important Captain Bill's Marina is to so many families on the South Shore. Our goal is to continue improving the property, investing in the customer experience, and creating a marina that the boating community can be proud to call home."

Recent improvements at the marina include new floating docks, upgraded electrical infrastructure, landscaping enhancements, facility upgrades, and expanded customer communication systems designed to modernize operations and improve the overall boating experience.

With this acquisition, Island Yacht plans to continue growing its presence as a premier marine destination on Long Island, combining top-tier boat brands, certified service, brokerage and pre-owned inventory, marina amenities, and a customer-first approach all in one location on the Great South Bay.
