The Sanctuary Cove Boating Festival is a beacon of light for the future! While COVID-19 has wiped out most of Australia's boat shows this year, one coming together is about to take place in South East Queensland.
Included in the exhibitor's list is global boat builder Maritimo. Four popular models from the leading luxury motor yacht manufacturer at its on-water brand display are set to create a wave of interest at the Sanctuary Cove Boating Festival. Looking to the future The Marina Industries Association (MIA) announces that the Welcome Reception for its Marinas21 International Conference & Trade Exhibition will be generously supported by the City of Gold Coast, which is excited to welcome delegates back to the Gold Coast once again. The event will take the form of a casual dinner cruise aboard the magnificent venue YOT Club which will depart at 7pm on Sunday 23 May from the Southport Yacht Club's soon-to-be-completed 160m Superyacht berthing facility.

So for the items you've paid a decent amount for, and even to make the lower cost items last a little longer - here's a few tips, picked up along the way, that should help.

New products this week include the new version of the NEX sail furler, which was released earlier this year in Australia, features many innovations and technical improvements, resulting from the Profurl expertise gained since the French company launched the first version of the NEX 15 years ago. The trademark mechanisms remain the same, the only one to use bearings made from very hard 100C6 carbon steel, which allow furling even under high loads (no crushing of the balls). The new range currently has seven models covering all sizes of sails (up to 350m2 for the off the shelf models, however larger custom sizes are also available on request). They can be used on a variety of sails, including Code 0, screecher, spinnaker as well as staysails.

Navico have announced the arrival of a premium multi-station black box marine radio system - the SIMRAD® RS100 and RS100-B. The latter integrated with a Class-B AIS transceiver and GPS.
