Stunning superyachts to be on show at the Superyacht Australia Grand Soirée

by David Good 7 Feb 2020 13:54 PST 22 February 2020

Superyacht Australia, in partnership with event Major Partner Benetti Yachts will be hosting the exclusive Superyacht Australia Grand Soirée at The Loft, Doltone House at Jones Bay Marina, Sydney, on Saturday 22 February.

As part of the prestigious Superyacht Australia Grand Soirée, up to twelve superyachts will be open for viewing at Jones Bay Marina from 5pm with the Soirée commencing upstairs at 6.30pm at The Loft, Doltone House.

The superyacht display on the dazzling Sydney Harbour will showcase the highest level of 6-star hospitality and the attention to detail on these yachts is something to behold. Grand Soirée guests will have a unique opportunity to go onboard select superyachts that will be open for viewing as part of this prestigious event.

Included in the breathtaking display is the 54-metre Mischief. Mischief was built by well-known Italian shipyard Baglietto and was launched in 2006. Her exterior design by Francesco Paszkowski includes her hallmark beam of 10.3 metres, a draft of 2.98 metres and a full displacement steel hull and aluminium superstructure which will make Mischief the largest superyacht available for charter based in Australian waters.

The refit in 2018 was the most extensive to date and included a striking look with a freshly painted French Navy hull and white boot stripe plus a revamped contemporary interior by Blainey North drawing on the dramatic use of white reflective surfaces accented with blues and blacks.

Mischief's main salon now features a large marble bar, with back-lit mirrored wine and glass racks - a theme found in two further wine stores within the cabins. The upper deck sky lounge is yet another bright white space, with curving glass bays inviting guests out to the dining areas on the aft deck. The full master suite lies forward on the main deck, with two further large doubles and smaller twins on the lower-deck - all complete with ensuites.

In addition to the superyacht display and "yacht hop", guests will be treated to entertainment, canapés plus the award-winning Scotchmans Hill wines, sampling spirits from Manly Spirits Co's dedicated tasting station while applauding the authentically designed fashions on display by Mainie Australia upstairs in The Loft, Doltone House, Jones Bay Marina.

"As the peak body for the superyacht industry, Superyacht Australia are excited to hold the inaugural Superyacht Australia Grand Soirée that will showcase the superyacht industry in Australia and provide guests who share a passion for the superyacht industry with a night of sophistication and entertainment', said David Good, Chief Executive Officer, Superyacht Australia.

On their involvement as the Major Partner of the event, Peter Mahony, General Manager of Benetti Asia shared the following "2019 was a good year for Benetti and in particular for our development and sales in the South Pacific.

We enjoyed excellent support from our partners in Australia and we continue to benefit from a growing network of industry professionals providing regional expertise and specialisation.
