With the signing of the first contract for a major order, a significant milestone has been reached within the reorganisation of the Nobiskrug shipyard and the takeover by Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft (FSG). The superyacht will now enter the final outfitting phase. In addition to the coating works on the hull, bespoke interior outfitting will be handcrafted. The delivery of the vessel is planned for mid-2022.
"The contract signing marks another major step towards achieving set goals for Nobiskrug," says CEO Philipp Maracke. "It also underlines the yacht owner's appreciation of our expertise in superyachts." The shipyard's employees have accumulated an abundance of experience, whether it is in terms of integrating highly interconnected technical systems of yachts, the high-quality hull coating or glass work, and the meticulously coordinated shipbuilding processes. This is particularly important in yacht building, which translates the owners' individual design wishes into a complex product.
Philipp Maracke emphasises the particularly good cooperation between the owner's representative Scott Wightman from Motor Yacht Build ltd and the shipyard's team, which is led by project manager Dirk Hemsen. "A project of this kind relies particularly on the mutual efforts and commitment of the shipyard and the owner. After taking over the shipyard, we established an extremely trusting and cooperative relationship within a very short time," summarises the Nobiskrug CEO.
