The second Amels 60, known as Project Witchcraft, has emerged from the Amels and Damen Yachting drydock in the Netherlands. A milestone which marks the start of her final build phase ahead of delivery to her Owner later in Autumn this year.

Whilst superyacht launches are not an unfamiliar sight at Damen Yachting's headquarters in Vlissingen, the launch of Amels 6002 was met with much anticipation. A reflection of the hyped- interest this new Amels 60 Limited Editions design has generated. As she rolled out of the build shed where she has spent the last 12 months since arriving in Vlissingen for outfitting, onlookers were treated to a first glimpse of this 60-metre's (197ft) bright and light colour scheme and a notable change to the exterior styling of the signature windows, customized to meet the Owner's requirements. Moran Yacht & Ship have represented the Owner throughout the build and explained what this milestone meant to them.

"We are truly excited to see Project Witchcraft emerge from the finishing shed and into the water for the first time. This milestone is always a special moment in the construction schedule. Moran Yacht & Ship are very proud of the many customizations we were able to implement into this platform, which is a testament to the Damen Yachting engineering and production team. The entire Owner's team is looking forward to the final stages of production and moving towards another successful delivery."

Amels 6002's customised windows are a great example of how this new generation of Amels Limited Editions are carrying the concept forward. An innovative build approach which maximises customisation opportunity whilst still providing fast delivery, a proven technical platform and tried and tested naval architecture and sea-keeping capabilities.

Featuring exterior design by Espen diameterino, this Amels 60 continues Damen Yachting's drive to deliver Limited Editions designed for the future. With a Gross Tonnage of 830 GT, she accommodates 12 guests and 12 crew. She features hybrid power and propulsion technology, and the overall design focuses on the onboard user experience. There is an emphasis on space throughout with the large Sun Deck, Swim Platform and folding Owners Suite balcony and even space for a 9-metre luxury tender to be stowed on the foredeck. The light and airy interior has been customised to the personal requirements of the Owner by an Interior Designer of the Owner's choice.

Damen Yachting Project Manager Arie Midavaine comments, "Watching 6002 head outside for the first time signifies everything the team has achieved since she arrived here in Vlissingen last July. And by team, I mean everyone involved in making this milestone happen - the Damen Yachting team, the Owner's team and all our co-workers. It's down to the great collaboration between all of these parties that we are standing here admiring this stunning new 60-metre in the daylight and open air. I am looking forward to the final outfitting phase now and getting her out on the water!"
