A patron committed to the ecological transition - Mike Horn
"After 25 years exploring all corners of the globe during my various adventures, I still prefer navigating the planet's oceans as my means of transport. Sailing has taken me to places I had only dreamed about and awakened a sensitivity for the environments I have ventured into. These two passions have led to the birth of INOCEL. A new technological solution to continue my adventures and those of others in a more responsible and respectful way towards our planet. We cannot stop what we are doing, but we can change the way in which we do it. I am therefore delighted to be the patron of this year's Paris Boat Show. A place where we can get together and create our dreams of tomorrow", says the extreme adventurer Mike Horn who will open the doors to the 2022 event.
New scheduling for the 2022 show
- Nine show days, including eight open to the public, from Saturday, 3 to Saturday, 10 December 2022, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. + one preview evening for exhibitors and their guests on Friday, 2 December, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- A closing festival on Saturday, 10 December with the Nuit Nautic, open to the general public until 10 p.m.
- Two exhibition halls, Hall 1 and Hall 2.2.
Hall 1 will group 700 craft: sailing boats, motor boats, engine manufacturers, dinghies and windsurfers. Here will also be found the maritime and river rental area, the regions and destinations (Occitanie, Corsica, Brittany, Normandy, Nouvelle Aquitaine, Spain, Canaries, Tunisia, etc.), the banking and insurance and services sectors, including boating licences. Like every year at the Nautic, world premieres will create the event, such as RM Yachts, which will exhibit its flagship yacht, the RM 1390, or Rosewest, which is going to mark the huge difference between the iconic Cape Cod 896 with its timeless, classic lines and its little brother, the cape Cod 767 Lounge.
Hall 2.2 groups all the equipment, from the most traditional to the latest innovations: fittings, electronics, fishing, energy, sails, paints and varnishes, decoration and the craft industry. The Galerie Marchande is also located in this hall where clothing and accessories are on offer at attractive prices. Once again this year, in conjunction with the Swimming Pool and Spa Professionals Federation, a space dedicated to swimming pools, saunas, spas and shelters will round out the range of nautical products and services.
Innovation for a committed nautical sector
The nautical sector has been committed to the ecological transition for some time. This year sees a specific innovative solutions space, in partnership with MACIF, where the sixteen qualifiers for the final of the Innovation Competition run by the Federation of Nautical Industries will have the chance to present their project. Alternative energies (electricity, hydrogen, etc.), biodegradable materials, new ecological uses (reconditioning, independent devices, circular economy, etc.) - there are so many proposals.
Numerous events within and outside Nautic:
- The 12th Nautic Paddle, the largest paddle race in the world, which will be held on Sunday, 4 December with over 1,000 competitors on the Seine (average age 39), including about 38% women. Race starts at 7.30 a.m.
- The Motor Boat of the Year and Yacht of the Year awards, which will be held on the Nautic stage on Wednesday, 7 December at 4.30 p.m., in partnership with Editions Larivière.
- The last day of the Show - Saturday, 10 December - will be full of events, with the final of the Innovation Competition organised by the Federation of Nautical Industries at 2 p.m. on the Nautic stage. On the basis of three criteria - linked to an aquatic activity, concrete role in the ecological transition of the boating sector and making boating accessible to the greatest number of people -, entrants have brought their projects to a specific space where they have been able to present them to the general public throughout the Nautic.
Note also on Saturday, 10 at 5.30 p.m., once more on the Nautic stage, the presentation of the Prizes for the Route du Rhum - Destination Guadeloupe, attended by the skippers.
- And throughout the show, many events around the attractiveness of trades in the nautical sector and many themed conferences organised by the Federation of Nautical Industries (FIN), in particular:
- Monday, 5 December at 2 p.m., in partnership with the Occitanie region and Nauticampus, a conference on the experimental BIMer (Initiation to the Sea Diploma)
- On 6 and 8 December, in partnership with the Occitanie region and the Pays de la Loire and Occitanie trade and qualifications campuses, a trade rally which will give secondary school pupils a chance to meet professionals in the nautical sector.
- In partnership with OPCO 2i, FIN will also present on its stand on Monday, 5 December at 11 a.m. its "employer brand" scheme for the next two years
Experiences to be enjoyed on the site will include the Ocean exhibition and the Virtual Reality space, which should delight sensation enthusiasts:
The Ocean Exhibition of the Ocean & Climate Platform covering nearly 600 m2 in Hall 1.
With the support of FIN and the Bénéteau Foundation, the Paris Nautic will offer an immersive exhibition to learn about the ocean-related issues in a fun, educational and interactive way. Designed for the general public, this exhibition invites children and adults to dive into the ocean, from tropical coral reefs to the deepest abysses and walk in the steps of those who love it, live by it and protect it.
Virtual Reality space:
One new feature presented at Nautic will be a virtual reality space to discover the regions and nautical activities without getting wet!
Fun, ecological experiences: by sitting in a scientific submarine to observe the ocean depths, by water skiing or wakeboarding, by sailing on board a Dufour, by exploring the Plérin beaches on a paraglider or by surfing at Binic.
Note also the exploits to be followed on the stands, such as Clairazur, committed to Pascal Pich, five-time ultra-triathlon world champion. The record holder wants to do an Ironman decathlon, i.e. swim 38 km in a Clairazur swimming spa, cycle 1,800 km on a home trainer and run 423 km on a treadmill. Pascal's best performance to beat = 5 days 23 hours and 47 minutes. Visitors to the show may support him directly at the swimming space.
Volvo is renewing its historic partnership with the Paris Nautic and will offer a fully electric experience to the visitors:
Volvo Car France, a Nautic partner since 2018, has designed a tailor-made programme for the Nautic. Visitors will be invited to navigate with Volvo Car France towards fully electric mobility thanks mainly to the Volvo Recharge Corner and the Volvo Recharge Station. The brand will offer visitors a fifteen-minute introductory tour to find out everything about the fully electric experience with Volvo, mastering zero-emission mobility and its vision of the mobility of tomorrow.
Supported by Genius, genuine experts in electromobility, visitors will learn to plug in a fully electric vehicle, calculate the charging time and plan a fully electric journey using Google Maps.
