Members are invited to suggest issues to raise at an upcoming peak national consultative meeting in May with AMSA.

BIA Ltd represents industry at AMSA's National Safety Committee throughout the year.

BIA intends to raise with the committee the issue of periodic survey of Class 4 houseboats, application of Coxswain 3 to non-hire operation of larger Class 4 vessels and broadening the scope of vessel operations that will form part of the new simplified SMS standard. Members who would like to suggest other issues to flag should email by 15 April.
