Napoli Boat Show Preview

First edition of the Gulf of Naples boat show: five days at Marina di Stabia from 18 to 22 March 2026, with sea trials by appointment and leading industry brands.

This morning, at the Reggia di Quisisana — the historic royal residence of Castellammare di Stabia that has preserved the memory of Angevin and Bourbon sovereigns since the 13th century and today houses the Museo Archeologico di Stabia Libero D'Orsi — the press conference presenting the Napoli Boat Show was held. The new boat show is scheduled to take place from 18 to 22 March 2026 at Marina di Stabia.

The choice of venue is deliberate: the Reggia, which stands on the slopes of Monte Faito overlooking the Gulf of Naples, embodies the same commitment to beauty and quality that the organisers intend to bring to the event.

The Napoli Boat Show positions itself as the first "Boutique Boat Show" at the centre of the Mediterranean, with a format that reverses traditional exhibition logic. Every boat on display is moored in the water and ready to sail: sea trials, bookable directly with the exhibitor, are not an exception but an integral part of the programme. The Gulf, with the Amalfi Coast and the Sorrentine Peninsula in the background and Capri and Ischia just a short distance away, offers a setting that is hard to match for anyone wishing to experience a boat's performance first-hand.

Confirmed brands include Riva, Rizzardi and Azimut Yachts — whose 27-metre vessels will serve as the show's flagships — alongside Cayman, Cranchi, Saxdor, Airon Marine, G Tender, P Yachts, Nautica Salpa, Prestige, Nautica Esposito, FIM, Menorquin, De Antonio, Sacs, Pirelli and Mig among the motor boats, and Lagoon and Jeanneau among the sailing boats, with many more to be announced.

Statements

Among those present at the press conference were Castellammare di Stabia Mayor Luigi Vicinanza, event founder and president Fabio Piantedosi, Port Authority Commander Andrea Pellegrino, Metropolitan Councillor of the City of Naples Giuseppe Gargiulo, and Marina di Stabia CEO Salvatore La Mura.

Fabio Piantedosi, founder and president of the Napoli Boat Show: "The Napoli Boat Show was created with the aim of promoting Italian boatbuilding, a sector in which Campania is home to some of its most significant centres of excellence. The event has been conceived as a functional and efficient exhibition platform, designed to facilitate on-board visits and sea trials, offering operators and the public a concrete, high-quality experience. The choice of Marina di Stabia is a strategic one: a benchmark location in the area, combining modern infrastructure with a high standard of hospitality. Particular attention has been paid to integrating the event with the local community of Castellammare di Stabia, involving its economic, productive and institutional stakeholders. The Napoli Boat Show also aims to actively promote the archaeological, natural and cultural heritage of the area, contributing to the development of assets that represent a strategic resource for local growth. Aware of the challenges involved in a first edition, we have chosen a deliberately measured approach, prioritising quality, safety and organisational solidity, with the goal of building solid foundations for structured growth in future editions."

Andrea Pellegrino, Commander of the Port Authority of Castellammare di Stabia: "I am delighted to learn that this wonderful setting has been chosen to host such an important event for the boating industry. Castellammare di Stabia has always had a close relationship with ports, shipbuilding and the growing use of the sea. The professionals involved, the local workforce and the port operators are a genuine testament to the fact that Castellammare di Stabia has the undeniable capacity to deliver high levels of expertise and to rise to the challenges of increasingly high-performing ports. Without losing sight of its roots, the Castellammare di Stabia Coast Guard Port Authority works within its statutory remit to ensure the rational use of resources, the safety of navigation and transport, and the protection of the marine habitat and fish stocks. This is complemented by active outreach and awareness-raising efforts around knowledge of and respect for the sea. These efforts are reflected in the many projects supported by the Municipality of Castellammare di Stabia, which sees us present in schools of all levels. To date, more than 5,000 students have been involved. The second edition of the Traversata delle Sirene, again in partnership with the Municipality of Castellammare di Stabia and the local branch of the Lega Navale, also aims to spread a culture of the sea and allow people to discover this coastline of breathtaking beauty."

Salvatore La Mura, CEO of Marina di Stabia: "The Napoli Boat Show is an event of international standing that brings the attention of the boating world to a territory with a great deal to offer. Castellammare di Stabia, with its gulf, its historic heritage and its seafaring tradition, has nothing to envy from the most celebrated destinations in the Mediterranean. Events like this one contribute to giving it the recognition it deserves."

Arch. Giuseppe Gargiulo, Delegated Councillor of the Metropolitan City of Naples, representing Metropolitan Mayor Gaetano Manfredi: "It is a great pleasure for me to take part in the press conference presenting the Napoli Boat Show 2026, in my capacity as Delegated Councillor of the Metropolitan City of Naples, representing Metropolitan Mayor Gaetano Manfredi. From 18 to 22 March 2026, the Marina di Stabia will host an event that will bring the best of national and international boating to our area. But the value of this show goes beyond the display of yachts, motor boats and sailing vessels against one of the most evocative backdrops in the Mediterranean. The Napoli Boat Show represents above all a powerful economic driver for the territory. At its heart are the entrepreneurs, craftspeople, master shipwrights, technicians and workers who, day after day, contribute through their expertise, professionalism and passion to creating employment, innovation and development for our metropolitan area. Castellammare di Stabia itself is home to a centuries-old shipbuilding tradition, a wealth of knowledge rooted in the industrial history of southern Italy, which has managed to distinguish itself through excellence in production recognised on both national and international markets. This ability to combine tradition and innovation is the true strength of our territory. Particularly significant is also the focus on ecological transition and sustainability, with electric and hybrid solutions, new materials and innovative start-ups demonstrating how the boating industry can evolve in a modern and responsible direction without losing its productive identity. As the Metropolitan City, we firmly believe that investing in the maritime economy means supporting a strategic supply chain that generates skilled employment, enhances local craftsmanship and strengthens the role of Naples and its metropolitan area as a Mediterranean hub for boating. The Napoli Boat Show is therefore not only an international showcase, but a concrete recognition of the daily work of those who, with skill and vision, continue to build the future on our shores."

Luigi Vicinanza, Mayor of Castellammare di Stabia: "The Napoli Boat Show represents a further opportunity for Castellammare di Stabia to assert its maritime and productive identity. Castellammare is a city that has written fundamental chapters in Italy's naval history: it was in our shipyards that the Amerigo Vespucci was launched, a vessel that has become a symbol worldwide of Italian excellence and seafaring tradition. Hosting the first edition of this boat show at Marina di Stabia means strengthening the strategic role of our city in the national and international boating landscape. It is also a concrete signal of confidence in our local economy, our workforce and the many businesses that operate with skill and dedication in the maritime sector. As a municipal administration, we support this initiative because we believe that investing in the maritime economy means creating development, skilled employment and new opportunities for young people. The Napoli Boat Show will also serve as an important showcase for promoting the historical, cultural and scenic heritage of Castellammare di Stabia, helping to strengthen our appeal as a tourist destination."

The venue: Marina di Stabia

The event takes place at Marina di Stabia, one of the most impressive nautical facilities in Europe, designed by the Massimiliano Fuksas studio. The hospitality offering meets the standards of high-end hotel services: the Yacht Club, lounges and private areas are designed to facilitate meetings between boatbuilders, dealers and owners, product presentations and networking opportunities.

A territory that speaks for itself

Castellammare di Stabia sits at the crossroads of some of the most visited destinations in the Mediterranean. From the Archaeological Villas tour to the excavations of Pompeii and Herculaneum nearby; along the coast lies the Amalfi Coast, with Sorrento within easy reach. From the marina, the islands of Capri and Ischia are just a few minutes away by boat — two destinations that, in the context of a boat show with sea trials, become natural settings for testing vessels in real conditions, among clear waters, sea stacks and anchorages of rare beauty. The proximity to Naples International Airport completes a logistical picture that is equally favourable for exhibitors and visitors travelling from abroad.

See you at Marina di Stabia

The Napoli Boat Show opens to the public on 18 March 2026 and runs until 22 March (10:00 - 18:30). Entry is ticketed, in keeping with the organisers' decision to attract a highly targeted audience of people with a genuine interest in the boating sector.

Boating enthusiasts are invited to join us at Marina di Stabia for this first edition: five days in which the exhibition offer combines with the experience of the sea and the richness of an unparalleled territory.
