From the Hanse Factory Floor: What's next for Australia

Fresh from the Hanse factory in Greifswald, Germany, Performance Cruising Yachts team members Rhys Cameron and Josh Hayes have returned with a first-hand look at the direction of Hanse Group for 2026 and beyond.

This was not just another dealer meeting. It was a chance to stand inside the shipyard, meet directly with the people shaping the next generation of Hanse yachts, and hear how the brand is continuing to evolve across design, innovation, production and the customer ownership experience.

Alongside dealers from around the world, Rhys and Josh gained valuable insight into the global momentum behind Hanse, Moody, Dehler, Fjord, Sealine and Ryck - and what that means for Australian owners.

For anyone considering a Hanse, or already part of the Hanse community, the message from Germany was clear: the brand is moving forward with confidence, and Australia is very much part of that next chapter.

Hanse's Next Chapter

The 2026 Dealer Meeting made one thing clear: Hanse is not standing still.

Across the current range, the focus is sharp - effortless handling, refined comfort, intelligent design and yachts that are genuinely enjoyable to sail short-handed. Speaking with Hanse dealers from Europe, the Americas, Asia and beyond also confirmed that owners around the world are asking for the same thing: yachts that are easier to manage, beautifully designed and built for real time on the water.

That is exactly where Hanse continues to lead.

For Australian sailors, this matters. It means access to a global brand with a proven track record, strong factory support and a product philosophy that fits the way we sail here - performance when you want it, comfort where you need it and simplicity every time you step aboard.

Josh Hayes summed it up after returning from Greifswald:

"Hanse has always stood for fast, comfortable yachts that are easy to sail, and that DNA is still at the heart of the brand. What is exciting now is seeing that same philosophy continue to evolve. For Australian sailors, the Hanse 460 Premium Yacht Share is a perfect example - one of Hanse's most successful models, offered through a smarter, more accessible ownership experience on Sydney Harbour and beyond."

That connection between Hanse's proven past, its momentum today and the opportunities now available in Australia is what makes this such an exciting time for the brand.
