From innovations in sailing deck hardware, stabilizers and safety devices, to the latest generation drones, SUPs and inflatable slides, there's something for every interest at the 30th anniversary Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS), May 24-27, 2018.

SCIBS is renowned as the launching pad for the latest gear and gizmos associated with the boating and coastal lifestyle and Dominic O'Brien, SCIBS sales and exhibition manager, said this year's line-up of technology and marine accessories will be one of the best the Show has ever seen.

Global electronics giant Navico will be exhibiting a range of marine electronics from the Simrad, Lowrance and B&G brands.

Navico marketing director Michael Blackwell said the company would be showcasing the new Hook2 series of fish finders and fish finder and chartplotterr combos from Lowrance.

The Hook2 range boasts features usually found on high-end fish-finding gear, such as DownScan, SideScan, GPS navigation and premium chartplotting, at a great price point for the cost-conscious angler.

"We'll be unveiling this exciting new range at SCIBS, along with a new Simrad product that is aimed at the high-end of cruising and sports fishing," Mr Blackwell said.

"SCIBS is the first show of the year and is the perfect event to showcase our range of electronics for all boating and fishing categories. The event attracts a variety of visitors that are in line with our target markets."

Another major exhibitor at SCIBS, Raymarine will present the latest in its range of Axiom LightHouse™ Apps, the Raymarine LINK ™ mobile app, and Axiom integration for UAVs.

With LightHouse Apps, Raymarine users can use Axiom to stream onboard entertainment from popular movie and music services. LightHouse Apps also brings access to the Theyr GRIB global weather forecast and tide apps. Visitors to the Raymarine stand will see the FLIR Systems Quantum® 2, designed to integrate with the award winning Axiom® multifunction displays. Quantum 2 enhances boater's situational awareness by intelligently identifying moving and static targets at both long and short ranges.

Fusion has chosen SCIBS for the launch of the highly anticipated next generation of marine entertainment, the Apollo Series.

An incredible amount of technology has been packed into the new flagship product the Apollo 770, including the 32-bit DSP chipset, WIFI, Touchscreen interface, over-the-air software updates, and Party-Bus networking.

"Our system approach ensures every step of the audio pipeline is optimised through calculations by our engineers to deliver a superior listening experience – without the need for a tech-savvy understanding," managing director Chris Baird said.

The AMI Group will showcase a range of new product upgrades across its long-established portfolio of marine companies, including Navionics Australia chart upgrades at a special show discount. Visitors can bring their chart to the Show and update to "boat safer and fish smarter".

Furuno Australia will have the legendary Furuno Navigation hardware on show this year, along with many other globally recognised marine electronics brands such as FLIR, Hatteland, Maretron, Actisense, Airmar, TimeZero and Intellian.

'Boating Lifestyle Adventure' specialist, BLA will be in the Main Pavilion with a huge stand, displaying over 30 brands and accessories catering to all aspects of boating. This year, there is a focus on technology, with Clarion marine audio, C-Zone digital switching for controlling all onboard functions, Trudesign composite fittings comprising a range of next-generation plumbing, Fischer-Panda generators, famous for their compact design, as well as Lewmar bow thrusters, Seastar steering, and much more.

Specialist mobile navigation device company, Garmin will present the ECHOMAP™ Plus 95sv combo. This package features a bright, sunlight-readable 9" keyed-assist touchscreen and includes GT-52 transducer for Garmin high wide CHIRP traditional sonar, CHIRP ClearVü and CHIRP SideVü scanning sonars and support for Panoptix™ all-seeing sonar.

It comes preloaded with BlueChart® g2 charts for Australia, New Zealand and many associated islands, plus, Quickdraw Contours mapping software to allow users to instantly create personalized fishing charts on-screen with 1' contours as you fish.

In the Main Pavilion, Dometic Seabreeze is a major exhibitor, with a complete range of refrigeration, AC, water makers and sanitation on display.

Dometic Seabreeze managing director Steve Quan said the company will have an array of new products on display in 2018 and looks forward to another excellent edition of SCIBS.

"SCIBS is excellent for B2B, aftermarket and retail. It's always a successful show for us, thanks to the commitment of the organisers and boat show team.

"We believe the industry is buoyant and the 2018 show will reflect that," said Mr Quan. Australian Marine Wholesale (AMW) will launch the Crew Watcher manoverboard device from Weems and Plath, Mazu Skymate satellite app and Racegeek racing instrument package. Also on display from AMW, an extensive range of marine electronics on show, including the latest products from brands such as BlueWater, Lumitec, Raymarine, Garmin, Simrad, Fusion and Aqualuma.

Ultra Marine Products will present an extensive selection of quality marine products from around the world including Ultra Anchors, Sovereign BBQs, Ultra Inflatable Textile Fenders, Ultra Lifestyle Tableware and Accessories, Marine Furniture Deck Chair, Maddox Anodes, Navigator Helm Seats, Sovaro Coolers and the compact and clever Mini Onboard Washing Machine.

"For us, SCIBS is one of two main events along with the Sydney Boat Show that adds momentum to our sales and marketing for the whole year," said Fabien Vignes, General Manager at Ultra Marine.

"SCIBS has an excellent set-up with the marina, village and restaurants. "For those looking for onboard accessories and quality Italian-made products, Gineico will have boat owners covered with an array of new products, including the Australian launch of the new Quick MC2 X-Series anti-roll gyro stabilizers which promise to revolutionise the gyro concept.

Also new from Gineico is innovative stainless-steel bathing ladders with pop-up handles which make it easier and safer to exit the water, LED backlit boat names for identity with impact, the latest in luxury folding deck chairs and cockpit tables and the newest high tech Besenzoni leather helm seats, with the option to integrate boat controls in the arm rests for an even more comfortable ride.

Australian marine electronics manufacturer, GME will present various products including two Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) units, the MT603G and MT603FG.

When activated these GME EPIRBs flash and radio signals are emitted on internationally recognised VHF and UHF distress channels and are equipped with an integral GPS receiver which can provide location co-ordinates for inclusion in the UHF distress transmission.
