Metstrade (18-20 November) closed last week after welcoming thousands of leading leisure marine professionals from across the world to the biggest edition of the show to date.

Metstrade 2025 took over the entire RAI Amsterdam complex for the first time due to the show's impressive growth, with visitors enjoying expanded halls, enhanced zones and close to 1,700 exhibitors to explore. The complete takeover of the complex enabled a more dynamic flow of visitors. Attendees were able to explore the show in a continuous loop, making it easier to experience the whole show floor and get a complete picture of the global leisure marine market.

The show received 32,000 visits from 20,000 unique visitors, with leisure marine professionals from all over the world gaining international market insights, collaborating with new partners, building meaningful connections and learning about the latest trends and innovations.

Marine technology continues to develop. At Metstrade iNav4U unveiled Zora 3.0, the world's first truly unified yacht operating system. The groundbreaking technology is a platform that redefines what captains and yacht owners can expect from their navigation and management systems. "We didn't just redesign the chartplotter — we reinvented what it means to manage and navigate a yacht," says Olivier Hendrikx, co-founder and creator. "Zora 3.0 breaks down the silos between apps and devices, giving captains a single, intelligent platform that thinks with them."

LOOKOUT, the award-winning leader in AI marine perception, today announced LOOKOUT 3.0, a major upgrade to its industry-defining camera and object-recognition platform. Engineered for premium recreational boats, commercial fleets, and professional operators, LOOKOUT 3.0 introduces breakthrough features that materially improve safety, confidence, and decision-making on the water.

Flux Marine, a developer of electric propulsion technology for recreational and commercial watercraft, announced a $15 million infusion of capital to scale outboard production and expand core technology sales. The funding included participation from existing investors and customers, as well as a new backer, Collide Capital. This brings total funding to over $30 million since 2020. The company has fully commercialized its 115HP electric outboard and modular battery pack - the only high-voltage electric outboard in production in North America that was designed with a clean-sheet approach.

Revolution Marine Group announces the delivery of the first Oceanwalker S60 Revolution Edition, following its celebrated global debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). The first hull has been acquired by Ki'ama Bahamas, the world's first fully solar-integrated yacht and residence club, and will be delivered to the Exumas this December.

Nimbus Group AB is launching the Nimbus 12 series, an updated successor to the successful WTC 11 series. Just like its predecessors in the WTC 11 series, the Nimbus 12 will be available as Weekender (W), Tender (T), and Commuter (C), meaning the series meets the diverse needs and preferences of different customer groups within the segment. The 12 series builds on the award-winning design introduced with the 11 series and retains the seaworthiness and Scandinavian design philosophy that have defined the series since its introduction.

Lürssen Americas has officially opened its new office at Pier Sixty-Six in Fort Lauderdale, marking a significant step in strengthening the company's presence in the United States. The milestone was celebrated during FLIBS at the heart of the city's superyacht community.

Finally, a tour of the Barton Marine factory with CEO Suzanne Blaustone. Based at Whitstable in the UK, Barton produces sailing and yachting fittings which are used around the world, and continues to innovate, also designing and manufacturing hardware used outside of the marine industry. Mark Jardine, Managing Editor of Sail-World, was shown around the factory in this video.
