First Australian arrival confirmed for September 2026

The new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 455 has received an overwhelmingly positive response following its display at the Düsseldorf International Boat Show with eight yachts sold during the event, underscoring strong early demand for the latest model in Jeanneau's highly regarded Sun Odyssey range.

Unveiled as the next evolution of the Sun Odyssey lineup, the 455 attracted significant attention from sailors, industry professionals and media for its modern design, refined sailing performance and clear focus on comfort and usability. Feedback from the show highlighted the yacht's ability to combine engaging performance with practical features suited to both coastal cruising and extended offshore passages.

The Sun Odyssey 455 features a contemporary hull form designed to deliver improved stability, efficiency and responsiveness across a wide range of conditions. On deck, clean layouts and intuitive sail handling systems support confident operation, whether sailed short-handed or with a full crew. Jeanneau's emphasis on safety, ergonomics and sailing enjoyment is evident throughout the design.

Below deck, the Sun Odyssey 455 offers a bright, welcoming interior with generous natural light, improved ventilation and a strong focus on liveability. Flexible layout options allow owners to configure the yacht to suit family cruising, entertaining or longer-term sailing, with thoughtful storage solutions and refined detailing enhancing onboard comfort.

The first Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 455 is scheduled to arrive in Australia in September 2026. Performance Boating Sales, Australia's longest-serving Jeanneau sailing boat distributor and an award-winning dealership, will be supporting Australian owners with access to information, configuration options and local expertise as interest in the new model builds.

Lee Condell of Performance Boating Sales in Sydney said the strong sales result in Düsseldorf reflected confidence in the new model. "Selling eight Sun Odyssey 455s during the Düsseldorf show is a clear indicator of how well this yacht has been received globally," Condell said. "We are very much looking forward to seeing the first model arrive in Australia in September 2026, following the arrival of the first of the new Sun Odyssey 415 models in February 2026."

The strong response and sales success at Düsseldorf positions the Sun Odyssey 455 as a significant new addition to the Jeanneau range and highlights continued demand for high-quality, performance-oriented cruising yachts.
