The Marinas24 International Conference and Trade Exhibition reaffirmed its place as one of the largest marina industry conferences in the world after welcoming 398 delegates across the two-day event in Brisbane last week.
Event organizer, the Marina Industries Association yet again demonstrated how to bring an industry together to collaborate for shared growth and success.
The Sydney Boat Show is only seven weeks away. Four days of fun are on the horizon from 1 to 4 August, with tickets for the Show now on sale. Prices start from AUD$25 for an early bird general admission ticket, available to purchase until 17 July. Children under 16 years of age are free when accompanied by a paying adult. Early bird ticket purchasers will also go into the draw to win AUD$10,000 in 'Boat Show Dollars' to spend with an exhibitor at the Show. From 18 July standard general admission tickets will be available from AUD$29.50 per person.

More than 3,400 Marine Rescue NSW volunteers are ready to respond to boaters needing assistance across the state this King's Birthday long weekend. Marine Rescue NSW Commissioner Alex Barrell said if conditions allow, he expects large numbers of boaters to hit the water over the long weekend. "We are urging all boaters to plan and prepare before heading out on the state's waterways this June long weekend. Check the weather forecast before departure and continue monitoring because if conditions change rapidly you could end up in a life-threatening situation."

From the USA, and following successful previews earlier this year at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show, Mercury Marine, a division of Brunswick Corporation, this week officially launched the Avator™ 75e and 110e electric outboards. These new models are the latest to join Mercury's all-electric propulsion lineup, which also includes the Avator 7.5e, 20e and 35e outboards.
From Europe, the XR 41 marks X-Yachts' return to out-and-out race yachts, and has been designed in close cooperation with leading design teams. The boat is optimized for ORC racing and built with the finest material and most advanced technology available. X-Yachts have partnered up with some of racing world's most experienced designers and racers, to bring a concept, based on 45 years of heritage and X-Yachts racing history, to life. In Japan, Yanmar Holdings Co has signed an official partnership agreement with the Japan Sailing Federation (JSAF), a public interest incorporated foundation. This partnership supports JSAF's comprehensive activities, including major sailing championships for junior and youth generations and marine environmental conservation efforts, to encourage the growth and challenges of the next generation of sailors.

From France and celebrating its 140th anniversary this year, Groupe Beneteau unveils its business report for 2023. It's an opportunity for the world leader in yachting to look back on a remarkable year, and to take stock of its environmental and societal commitments. Through a renewed format, the Report offers a deep dive into the successes and highlights of this unprecedented year. In terms of economic performance, the Groupe Beneteau achieved record sales of 1.785 billion euros, consolidating its position as world leader in the sailing segment (monohulls and multihulls) and in the 40- to 60-foot powerboat segment.
In China, Beneteau and Lagoon Catamarans celebrated an important acknowledgment at the 2023 China Yacht Awards (OCYA) Ceremony with three awards in total. Created in 2018 by Oceanway, the OCYA aims to give recognition for those who excel and contribute greatly to the marine industry within the year, including both domestic and international brands, dealers, marinas, equipment providers, as well as industry associations. The award winners are the results of a professional review by a panel of industry insiders and voting by general public. Oceanway is a comprehensive boating information and service provider in mainland China.
